Steel Window Services have, for over 60 years, been at the forefront of the industry when it comes to the upgrading, servicing and renovating existing steel, cast iron and bronze windows.
Whether existing windows are full pane, cottage style, horizontal bar, leaded, lattice or hopper - an extensive range of services are on offer to bring them back to an excellent serviceable state or to, in most cases, enhance performance in terms of usability, security, noise infiltration, thermal insulation and draught-proofing.
A full SWS off-site renovation can result in better-than-new windows, as demonstrated the Highbury Square East Stand project
These works can be carried out with windows remaining in-situ, or they can be temporarily removed, transported back to our workshops for renovation, and then later refixed.
For owners of buildings under conservation orders, or listed buildings, or for those who simply wish to preserve the historic aesthetic of buildings in their charge, this can be an invaluable service, and offers a viable and cost-effective solution where replacement is either not in budget, not permitted, not possible, not necessary or not the best answer.
The works described are just an outline of services, and every project is of course very different due to the often unique nature of metal window installations. Exact specifications of work will be presented with every quotation produced.
